Glasgow Clinic — SPMU Removal & Correction
If your semi-permanent makeup no longer looks the way you hoped, you are not alone — and you have options. At Obsidian Clinics, 101 St Georges Rd, we offer specialist SPMU removal and correction services for clients across Glasgow’s West End, Finnieston, and Kelvingrove. Laser removal, saline removal, colour correction, and shape correction: all delivered with care and without judgement.
You Deserve Better
We understand that coming to us can take courage. Many of our clients arrive having had SPMU treatment elsewhere that left them feeling upset, embarrassed, or stuck with results they hate. Whether your brows have faded to an unflattering tone, the shape no longer suits your face, or your treatment simply did not deliver what was promised — we are here to help.
Our approach is straightforward: we assess your existing SPMU honestly, explain your options clearly, and work with you to achieve the best possible outcome. No false promises. No pressure. Just skilled, compassionate care.
Treatment Options
Every client’s situation is different. During your consultation we will advise which approach — or combination of approaches — is most appropriate for your skin, your pigment, and your goals.
Q-switched laser technology targets and breaks down pigment beneath the skin. Highly effective for darker, more saturated pigments. Multiple sessions may be required depending on pigment depth and colour. Sessions are spaced 6–8 weeks apart to allow full healing between treatments.
Most effective for dark pigmentA natural, osmotic removal method using a specialist saline solution. Suitable for all pigment colours and skin types, including those where laser is not appropriate. Works by drawing pigment to the skin’s surface over a series of sessions. Gentler than laser for sensitive skins.
Suitable for all skin typesFor SPMU that has shifted to an undesirable hue — ashy grey, warm orange, or blue — colour correction techniques neutralise and rebalance the tone. Shape correction addresses symmetry issues, outdated arch styles, or mapping that no longer suits your face. Often achieved without full removal.
Transform without full removalYour Journey
We take time to understand your situation fully before recommending any treatment. Our process is designed to be transparent, comfortable, and tailored to you.
We begin with a thorough assessment of your existing SPMU: pigment type, depth, colour, age, and the condition of the treated skin. We discuss your goals — full removal, partial fading, correction, or a combination — and explain which options are most realistic for your situation.
A patch test is carried out where appropriate. We create a written treatment plan including the recommended method, estimated number of sessions, spacing between sessions, and expected outcomes at each stage. No surprises.
Removal and correction is a gradual process. Each session is performed carefully to minimise discomfort and allow your skin adequate recovery time between appointments. We monitor progress at each visit and adjust the approach as needed.
Full written aftercare instructions are provided after each session. It is essential to protect treated areas from sun exposure and to keep the skin moisturised as directed. Results continue to develop during the healing period between sessions.
At the end of your treatment course, we review the outcome together. If further correction or fresh SPMU application is desired, we can discuss next steps including our full range of SPMU services and the Obsidian Academy’s Remedial & Correction Programme for practitioners seeking advanced training.
